Kyle Bultman

As a professional photographer, my life and creativity has always revolved around visual art, but I had zero interest in painting until 2019 when a conference taught me that painting can be a visual language for two way communication with God. Since then, painting has been a full on obsession. It unlocks my creativity as I learn more deeply that I engage with God in the creative process. The art I make isn’t made to sell or show, it’s an overflow of the joy of being the artist God made me to be and co-creating with the ultimate creator.

My work is fundamentally a celebration of color and of the oil painting medium itself. I love exploring color harmonies and leveraging our relative perception of color to make an accent color really sing. The softness of oil paints is well suited to creating dreamy atmospheric abstractions of landscapes, and I fully embrace that quality.
